NewsNational Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology. Science Week provides an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of Australian scientists. It also aims to encourage an interest in science pursuits among the general public, and to encourage younger people to be fascinated by the world we live in.
The Whole School Assemblies in Week A of this year will be streaming live on a Zoom Webinar. Assemblies commence at 8:40 am each fortnight. Our next online assembly is scheduled for Monday, 22nd August 2022. Recent assemblies can be viewed on Facebook.
The annual Book Week Dress Up Day will be held on Friday 26th August. There will be an online Assembly in the morning to celebrate. The theme of Book Week this year is ‘Dreaming with eyes open...’, and you may like to create a costume related to the theme rather than a book character. Costumes do not need to be elaborate – a home-made costume or a costume from a previous year will still add to the fun of the day.
