The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) is an independent statutory authority that aims to improve the learning of all young Australians through world-class school curriculum, assessment and reporting. ACARA is responsible for national curriculum from Kindergarten to Year 12 in specified learning areas, the national assessment program aligned to the national curriculum and the national data collection and reporting program.
The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) provides national leadership for the Australia, State and Territory Governments in promoting excellence in the profession of teaching and school leadership. AITSL’s role includes: defining and managing standards for teachers and principals, leading and influencing improvement in teaching and school leadership and supporting and recognising high quality professional practice.

The Australian Curriculum sets consistent national standards to improve learning outcomes for all young Australians. It sets out, through content descriptions and achievement standards, what students should be taught and achieve, as they progress through school.

Rubicon Atlas is an online platform designed to electronically encompass the entire process of curriculum management in support of faculty, administrators and the greater College community. Atlas is customized to reflect the College’s pedagogy, academic standards (including the Australian Curriculum) and unique curricular needs. Atlas is considered more than just an online curriculum repository, Atlas changes the paradigm of curriculum work from a cycle of documentation to a managed process for focused collaborative review and advancement.
Northside Christian College is using an online environment called Schoology to facilitate teaching and learning in the Secondary School. Students are able to receive course materials and assignments, have discussions, and submit work using this platform.
The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is an independent statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. The mission of the VCAA is to provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting that enables individual lifelong learning. The VCAA also provides high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students and learners by developing and implementing the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). The Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is a statutory authority for the regulation of the teaching profession in Victoria. It registers teachers working in Victorian government, Catholic and independent schools. The Victorian Institute of Teaching is committed to being environmentally responsible and has developed an online facility for teachers to use to manage their registration processes. Registered teachers have access to the forms required to manage their registration via their MyVIT account.
